William (Bill)'s Story
Remember me?
After 9 years of Catholic school, I was clean cut, naive, and insecure, yet playful and rebellious when I arrived at Lakewood High. I fit in with the hippy, surfer and rocker cliques. By my senior year I had long hair and was playing in rock bands.
After graduation, I spent my time partying, surfing, skiing, skateboarding, back packing, going to concerts, and playing music until I became a claims adjuster in 1980 and finally began the process of growing up.
In 1989 spent a month in Europe - mostly Germany, France and Ireland.
I married my wife, Clarita, in 1996. My mom passed way in 1998.

n 2000 and moved into our new home in Browns Valley in 2003.
I retired from my job in 2010.
Clarita and I have traveled around a bit. I got back into playing music. We now have lots of friends in the cute nearby towns of Grass Valley and Nevada City and stay quite busy. There is a lot of culture and lots to do up here.
We are members of the Unitarian Universalist community in Grass Valley. I was the Board Chair of the Sierra Nevada Deep Ecology Institute from 2004 to 2010. I started the Green Sanctuary Committee at our congregation and was its Chair for several years.
My dad passed away a few years ago and my sister still lives in Lakewood.
